Advanced Design and Manufacturing Institute (ADAM)
Griffith University’s Advanced Design and Manufacturing Institute (ADAM) will be an exciting new industry focused facility to provide a nexus for innovative digitally enabled design, new material development and usage, research, prototype development and testing and skills growth in 3D printing and advanced manufacturing.
The four key areas of focus for ADAM include:
- additive manufacturing
- advanced materials and nanotechnology
- digitally enabled technologies (robotics, big data and analytics, imaging and data capture, and spatial and biomedical informatics)
- next generation electronics.
Compared with other advanced manufacturing centres in Australia and internationally, ADAM will focus on delivering the facilities, equipment and university based skills for industry to directly access in relation to material development and 3D printing. Thereby directly providing the internationally recognised reputation and experience of Griffith University to business in these areas.
