Griffith University

A university of influence in the Asia Pacific, Griffith is a research-intensive institution, ranked among the top five per cent worldwide. Teaching and research spans five campuses in South East Queensland with the fastest growing and largest campus situated within the Health and Knowledge Precinct. Griffith offers over 200 undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees across all disciplines with a network of more than 200,000 graduates extending around the world.

At Griffith University there are more than 1000 academics and 38 research centres and institutes that are investigating challenging areas, including:

Ranked in the top 3% of universities globally, Griffith has a history of offering new and innovative degrees that meet the ever-changing needs of students, industry and the community. Griffith has introduced Australia’s first degrees in environmental engineering, forensic science, aviation, indigenous arts, phototronics and nanoscience, suicide prevention and dental technology. The student body includes representation from over 130 countries with almost 9000 international students. Through teaching and research, the university recognises Australia’s location in the Asia- Pacific and the importance of promoting a deep engagement with the region.

Griffith University also engages collaboratively with business, industry, government and community organisations through a commercial arm known as Griffith Enterprise. Griffith works alongside business and industry to connect their expertise, knowledge and innovations with the needs of business and industry through a free service and by creating ‘value through enterprise’.

Open to the public

The Griffith Health Clinics are a centre point where clinical experience, academic knowledge and new research connect to offer an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to patient treatment.

The Griffith Health Clinics include:

  • Dental Clinic
  • Psychology Clinic
  • Allied Health Clinic
    • Exercise physiology
    • Nutrition and dietetics
    • Physiotherapy
    • Pilates
    • Speech pathology

The Clinics provide a teaching environment where clients have the opportunity to see fully-qualified clinicians or, at specific times throughout the year, fully-supervised students. Conveniently located in the Griffith Health Centre at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus, the clinics are just a 12 minute tram journey from Southport.
